WALL STREET JOURNAL REPORTER "It’s sort of like you said, a follow on to Amazon which released its product in March. It’s all about storing and sharing music. Google’s advantage here is storage space. They’re offering people access to storage, many multiples of what Amazon has offered." While the storage space might be great, critics say — it’s a good thing Google’s service is in beta because it has a lot to work on. TechCrunch calls it Apple’s ugly sibling and says, while its features may look good on paper, it really isn’t all that great. Users can only upload their own music. "…there are a few hurdles. The biggest is the upload process…Nobody likes having to upload gigabytes of content. It may not be difficult…there’s still the mental hurdle of letting the upload run for a full day or two." Some news outlets say there’s an even bigger downfall.
